RARA CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS

About Author

Dr. C. Thomas Peter served as the Director of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Electrocardiography and Electrophysiology Section in the Division of Cardiology where he was honored as the first recipient of the Wasserman Foundation Chair. An Emeritus Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at UCLA, he has a mentorship program named after him which provides Electrophysiologists, especially from developing countries, access to the dynamic resources at both Cedars-Sinai and UCLA. In 2006, Dr. Peter was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by UCSF. After retiring in 2007, he continued to teach and train Electrophysiologists around the world.

Sadly in 2013, Dr. Peter was diagnosed with ALS, subsequently undergoing a tracheotomy in 2016. Over the following year he became paralyzed from neck down, being able to communicate only with his eyes. Most of this book was written using an eye-controlled tablet.

There is no one section that stands out as all sections are so well done. This textbook will be cherished by the worlds electrophysiology community as a bible of cardiac arrhythmias.
William MandelM.D
This collection of electrocardiograms clearly was a labor of love for Dr. Peter. It took me many hours to make my way through the cases. Far from being an arduous task, I found the experience to be thought-provoking and enjoyable.
